Attaching Hood Light to Auto Hood (Fig. E)
Unfold the hood light and attach the hook

on one side of
the light to the hood of the automobile, then carefully pull
on the other hook so that it extends out from the housing.
Once the hooks extends past the edge of the hood, slowly
allow the hook to slide back into the housing (do not release
the hook) until it attaches to the hood of the automobile.
CAUTION: Ensure area between extended hook and
hood light is clear before releasing hook. Keep your
fingers out of the area between the hook and the light
when it retracts.
nOTE:
Before installing on hood, make sure hood is
properly secured in the open position via manufacturer’s
recommendation.
Adjusting the Orientation of the Light (Fig. F)
Once attached to the automobile hood, the light can be
rotated to the desired position. The rotating mechanisms
are located in the base of each hook.
Detachable Work Light (Fig. A)
For even greater illumination of your work, a detachable work
light

is included. Slide the light outwards to remove from
the hood light housing. The work light is charged when a
Mac Tools 20 volt battery is installed in the hood light.

Hood Light Storage (Fig. G)
The hood light folds down for storage. Ensure center joint is
clear of obstruction before folding. To secure folded hood
light, align tab

to receiver

until they snap together.
CAUTION:
Keep fingers clear of center hinge when
opening or closing hood light.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
WARNING:
Never use solvents or other harsh
chemicals for cleaning the non-metallic parts of the
tool. These chemicals may weaken the plastic materials
used in these parts. Use a cloth dampened only with
water and mild soap. Never let any liquid get inside the
tool; never immerse any part of the tool into a liquid.
Accessories

Since accessories, other than those offered

of such accessories with this tool could be hazardous. To
reduce the risk of injury, only Mac Tools recommended
