– Modify and/or attempt to repair the
product. All repairs must be per-
formed exclusively by authorised
personnel.
– Shorten or extend the cable of the
impulse outlet to prevent compro-
mising meter performance.
– Leave the device exposed to atmos-
pheric agents.
– Place the device near to heat sourc-
es or expose it to direct sunlight.
– Position the device in proximity of
sources of electromagnetic distur-
bance.
– Use the device in environments
where the temperature drops be-
low 0°C.
– Open and/or replace the battery.
– Use solvents to clean the device.
– Incorrectly dispose of packaging
material and keep it out of children’s
reach as it may represent a hazard.
Disposal must be performed in line
with applicable laws.
– Dispose of the device as domestic
waste.
1.3 Device description
ElecTo BULK is a Maddalena ultrasound
meter for cold water that detects consump-
tion values and alarms using ultrasound
technology.
The managed alarms are the following: cir-
cuit fault, transducer fault, and air in chan-
nel (see section “ Faults and errors ”.)
The main technical specifications of the
ElecTo BULK design are:

– Extremely low starting flow. The mini-
mum flow is one third with respect to tra-
ditional water meters. The meter starts
metering water with a flow of 10 L/h;

ling of faults . Signalling of abnormal
water consumption and detection of the

– Absence of moving parts . Resistance to
wear and constant functioning over time;
– lithium battery that guarantees long-
term power supply (13 years);
