• To shoot with the self-timer, mount the camera on a tripod.
• The self-timer cannot be used when the camera is set for bulb
exposure (“B”).
• If the shutter release is depressed while the self-timer is
running, the counter will reset itself and the self-timer will trip
the shutter in the 10 seconds.
• To stop the self-timer operation after it has begun, set
the main switch to OFF, or turn the drive mode dial to another
mode position.
Set the drive mode dial to ” ” (self-timer).
Focus the lens on your subject and depress the shutter
release.
The self-timer will start and trip the shutter in the 10 seconds.
While the self-timer is running, the self-timer LED in the camera
front will blink.
• The focus mode is set to “SAF”, focus is locked at the instant
the self-timer begins operating. In “CAF” mode, auto focus is
performed continuously, even during the time the self-timer is
operating; focus is set at the instant the shutter is released.
