This camera has five kinds of “Custom Functions” as shown in
the following table. When your use the camera first time after
purchase, it has been set to the standard set of Functions
(Item 0). (Instructions in this manual refer to Case 0 unless
otherwise stated.)
If you want to change the Custom functions, refer to “Setting
the Custom Functions” on page 67.
• Camera functions and operations will change when custom
features are set. Be sure to read and understand this entire
section on “Custom Functions” before attempting to customize
camera functions.

AE Locking Operation
The main switch is set at “AEL”.
The AE lock is activated while
the shutter release is depressed
halfway (except when the flash
is fully charged).

main switch, the continuous

The end of film is rewound into
the cassette.
The end of the film is left out of
the cassette.

manual focus
Turn focus dial and set to
shooting distance.
While holding focus lock button
depressed, turn focus dial and set
to shooting distance.

Multiple exposure
Must operate drive mode dial
before each exposure.
Drive mode dial can be left
set to “ ” so long as multiple
exposures are desired.

“CLE”
Reset all custom functions
All custom functions are reset to standard setting (“0”).
Be careful; if the main switch is set to OFF while the CLE setting has
been selected, the contents of all custom functions set to that point
will be reset to their standard setting (“0”).

Be sure when the shutter release is depressed halfway or approx.
16 seconds elapse, custom functions are reset to standard setting
(“0”).
