12. Errors, causes, and solutions
Potential errors in the
NANOCOLOR
®
FP-200 are displayed on the photometer.
Error

Solution
Sipper module not connect-
ed! Please check the USB
cable connection.
Sipper is not recognized by the
spectrophotometer.
Cable is not installed correctly.
Wrong cable was used.
Please check the sipper and
the hoses.
Pump is blocked.
Pump head not placed correctly
on pump.
Please check the pump head. Hose is defective.
Wrong hose was used.
Pumping head not installed
correctly.
Replace the pinched hose.
Use only original hoses and
adapters.
Install pump head as described
in the user manual.
The Sipper module does not
pump liquid.
The system has a leakage and
sucks air.
Please control all connections
for correct fixing.
Hardware error
Sipper module defective.
Please contact
MACHEREY-NAGEL or your
local distributor.
The sipper module is not
detected by the spectropho-
tometer.
Connectivity settings are not set
correctly.
USB cable is not connected
correctly or cable is broken.
Please check the connectivity
settings as described in section
10.1.
Please check the USB cable
connection for correct contact.
The spectrophotometer
shows the icon for removal
of the cuvette during the
starting sequence.
The flow cell is still placed in the
cuvette slot of the spectropho-
tometer. The device can only be
started with an empty cuvette
slot.
Please remove the flow cell
from the before starting the
spectrophotometer.
Missing response from sipper Communication between sipper
module and spectrophotometer
is interrupted.
Please disconnect USB
connection cable and reconnect
again.
Sipper module is connected
and activated, but cannot be
used during measurement.
There are no sipper methods
defined.
Please define one or more
sipper methods via the settings
menu of the sipper module
(section 10.3)
