: In order to achieve a 320 MB/sec transfer speed, Ultra320-compliant adapters are

required.

Cable length

: Exceeds the limit specified in the standard, or too long to support the transfer

rate.

Device ID conflict

: A new device was added with a SCSI ID identical to an existing device

on the bus.

•

Missing TRMPWR

: Termination power is not supplied by the host adapter, or at least by

one of the devices on the SCSI bus.

•

Missing software device driver

: Some host adapters do not install support for SCSI drives

as an expansion BIOS. In this case, you will need to load an additional driver for your
operating system after the system boots. Note that this configuration cannot boot from the
SCSI drive.
