Erase
Functionality
The Security Erase option enables quickly erasing all the data stored on the FFD. The FFD also
supports the Quick Security Erase option, which is faster than the standard Security Erase option.
The standard Security Erase option can be activated by the vendor-unique Sanitize command
(see Section 8) or by triggering the Sanitize hardware interrupt. To enable activating the Quick
Security Erase option, please contact your M-Systems technical representative.
Note: The time required to perform a Security Erase depends on the disk capacity and the type of
flash components being used.
