Operation
Powering On/Off
Connect the VX4 to a power source, either AC or Vehicle.
The power (on/off) switch is a toggle switch located on the bottom of the VX4. The switch is
sealed by a rubber boot seal. The Status LED on the LXE VMT keyboard is lit when the power is
on.
You are now ready to use the computer.
Enter data using the keyboard, touchscreen or a Serial Barcode Scanner.
Note:
Always turn the computer off prior to connecting or disconnecting any power source.
Always shut down Microsoft Windows before turning the power off.

Powering off the VX4 without properly shutting down Microsoft Windows can corrupt
Windows. ALWAYS shut down Windows before powering off the VX4.
Powering off the VX4 before a write (to disk) function has completed, may result in the
corruption of the flash drive, if so equipped. Always shut down Microsoft Windows before
powering off the VX4.
When the system is turned off, the current contents of RAM are lost. Save any needed data and
exit in an orderly fashion from any running programs, then shut down Microsoft Windows, before
turning the system off.
