Motor cold start
– Set ignition switch (7) to
[1]
.
– Gently press fuel pump (20) often enough
that no more bubbles are visible
(approx. 6 times).
– Press the decompression valve (14).
– Pull the choke lever (4) all the way out.
– Pull the pull starter (9) out evenly as far as
it will go until you hear a first ignition
sound.
– Push the choke lever (4) back in.
– Pull the pull starter (9) out evenly until the
motor starts.
– Release the chain brake (1).
–
Slightly press down on the throttle (6).
Motor warm start
– Set ignition switch (7) to
[1]
.
– Pull the pull starte (9)r out evenly until the
motor starts.
– Slightly press down on the throttle (6).
– Release the chain brake (1).
– If the motor does not engage after you
pulled the starter three times, repeat the
starting procedure as described under
motor cold start
.
Easy Start
1. Set the ignition switch (3) to
[1]
.
2. Activate the chain brake by pushing the
hand guard forwards.
3. Actuate the fuel pump (15) approximately
6 times in a row until fuel starts to flow.
4. Pull the cold start lever (14) out fully.
5. Press the decompression valve (14). With
the initial ignition, the piston is moved
and the valve thus automatically closed.
6. Push the chain saw safely to the ground
and pull out the starter cord (6) approxi-
mately 4 times in a row.
7. Activate the gas lever (16) gently to bring
the cold start lever (14) to the normal
position.
8. Evenly pull the starter cord (6) out as far
as it will go until the motor starts up.
9. Allow the motor to operate in neutral for
15 seconds.
10. Release the chain brake (10). Gently
operate the gas lever to warm up the
motor.
After starting the motor
– Leave the motor running at idling speed
for a while.
DANGER! Risk of injury!
When
starting, the device must be seated
quietly and firmly. Never leave the
motor on if you still have the device in
your hand!
DANGER! Risk of injury!
If the
chain brake is not active, the saw
chain starts up directly after the
motor is started. Always check the
chain brake before starting the motor
(
NOTICE! Device damage!
Pull the
pull-starter max. 50 cm out and let it
run back in slowly by hand.
DANGER! Danger of injury!
After
the machine has started, slightly
operate the throttle once to ensure
that the motor reaches the correct
idling speed and the sawing chain
cannot rotate without a load.
When something isn’t working… –
Note:
With the choke handle pulled,
pull the pull starter only until you hear
a first ignition sound. Otherwise, you
may run the risk of fuel leaking into
the combustion chamber, which
would prevent an ignition spark.
