– Press and hold down the spindle lock (7).
– Turn the tool holder (1) anti-clockwise to open.
– Remove the tool.
– Release the spindle lock (7).
Inserting a tool
– Press and hold down the spindle lock (7).
– Place the tool as far as it will go into the tool
holder (1).
– Turn the tool holder (1) clockwise firmly to close.
– Release the spindle lock (7).
Selecting the operating mode
Use the switch for drilling/hammer drilling (2) to
select the operating mode as follows:

function into wood, metal, ceramics and plastics
and for the screwdriver function.
Changing the rotation direction
– To drill and screw screws into place, press the
rotation direction switch (4) to the left (rotation in
clockwise direction).
– To remove screws, press the rotation direction
switch to the right (rotation in an anti-clockwise
direction).
Electronic control of rotational speed
The appliance is equipped with an electronic rota-
tional speed control.
The rotational speed is infinitely adjustable (Rota-
tional speed range:
– Turning the speed regulator (9) clockwise
increases the rotational speed.
– Turning the speed regulator anticlockwise
decreases the rotational speed.
Check before switching on!
Check to make sure the device is in safe operating
condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible defects.
– Check to make sure all device components are
correctly mounted.
Switching on and off
– To start the tool turning, press the On/Off but-
ton (8).
– To operate permanently, press the locking but-
ton (3) whilst holding the On/Off switch down.
– To release the lock, press the On/Off switch
again and release.
– To switch the unit off, release the on/off
switch (8).

– Hold the device straight and drill with even pres-
sure.
