Failure to comply with the instructions and safety information
could result in malfunction of unit, fire hazard or unit, fire
hazard, personal injury, and fatal electrical shock hazards.

Disconnect power before installing or servicing.
If the power disconnect switch is out of sight, lock it in the open
position and tag it to prevent unexpected application of power.
1. Model 5AY50, 5AY51, 5AY52, and 24K346 should be installed
indoors. Use only in dry location for 5AY50, 5AY51, 5AY52,
and 24K346. Fixture is not waterproof and not intended for use
in showers, saunas, or any damp/wet locations. Model 5AY53,
24K344, 24K345, and 24K348 can be installed indoors or
outdoors, and in wet locations.
2. This fixture must be installed in accordance with all electrical
and safety codes and ordinances and the most recent National
Electric Code (NEC) and the Occupational Safety and Health
Act (OSHA).
3. Make sure the power source meets the requirements of the
fixture. All wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician.
4. To reduce the risk of electric shook, the dock light should be
plugged directly to a properly grounded 3-prong receptacle
installed in accordance with the National Electric Code, local
codes, and ordinances.
5. Repair or replace damaged cords immediately.
6. Prevent cord from coming into contact with sharp objects, oils,
chemicals, or hot surfaces.
7. External metal parts of the lamp shade operate with high
temperatures. Do not touch external parts of lamp head while
fixture is ON. Turn OFF fixture and allow appropriate cooling
time before touching lamp shade.
8. Lamp guard must be in place while fixture is in use.
9. Do not operate fixture close to combustible materials, or
materials affected by heating or drying.
10.This fixture must be installed to minimum 50mm thick wood
surface.

ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
WARNING
When portable luminaries are used outdoors, basic
safety should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock and personal injury:
A. Use only three wire outdoor extension cords that have three
prong grounding plugs and grounding receptacles that accept
the appliances plug.
B. Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection is to be
provided on the circuit(s) to be used for the wet location
portable luminaries.
C. Use only with an extension cord to outdoor use, such as
extension cord type: SW, SW-A, SOW, SOW-A, STW, STW-A,
STOW, STOW-A, SJW, SJW-S, SJOW, SJOW-A, SJTW,
SJTW-A, SJTOW, SJTOW-A.
WARNING
lighted lamp is HOT! To reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock , exposure to excessive UV RADIATION, or injury
to persons:
1) Turn off/unplug and allow to cool before replacing bulb.
2) Bulb gets HOT quickly! Only contact switch/plug when turning
up.
3) Do not touch hot lens, guard or enclosure.
4) Do not remain in light if skin feels warm.
5) Do not look directly at lighted lamp.
6) Do not use bulb of larger wattage than rated on fixture.
7) Do not touch the bulb at any time. Use a soft cloth. Oil from
skin may damage bulb.
8) Do not operate the portable luminaire with a missing or
damaged guard, lamp containment barrier, or UV filter.
MOUNTING- Fixture is designed for wall or post mounting and
requires a flat vertical surface approximately 3” wide and 5” high.
Four 3/8” bolts are supplied for mounting.
Fixture is designed for post mounting (24K346 and 24K348 only).
WIRING – Fixture is wired with a 3-wire cord set. All wiring should
be in accordance with local codes and ordinances. Connection to
local power should be made using the cord set on the fixture, and
plugged into a properly grounded receptacle. Ensure that the
receptacle is located in a manner that the cord remains above the
dock light arm.
LAMP INSTALLATION
- Disconnect power before installing or
removing lamp.
Incandescent units:
1. Depress the spring loaded pushbutton on the back of lamp
shade and screw the lamp into the socket until seated firmly.
Slowly release the spring loaded pushbutton.
2. For lamp replacement, press the spring loaded pushbutton to
relieve the spring force on the socket, unscrew the lamp and
follow directions stated in step 1.
Note: Maximum wattage is 300 watts.
Quartz Halogen unit:
Insert lamp into socket by holding it with a clean cloth. Ensure that
both contacts of the lamp are making positive contact with socket
center contacts.
Note: Maximum wattage is 500 watts. Do not lamp more than 4
degrees from horizontal when energized.

LIMITED ONE- YEAR WARRANTY
Should this product fail to perform satisfactorily due to a defect or
poor workmanship within ONE YEAR from the date of purchase,
return it to the place of purchase and it will be replaced, free of
charge, Incidental or consequential damages are excluded form
this warranty.
