Only start engine outdoors or in a well ventilated place, as the engine exhaust
fumes may cause sickness or death. .
▶
To avoid an explosion, never use starting fluid to start engine.
▶
Start the engine ONLY from the driver’s seat with placing all the transmission gear
levers in NEUTRAL
▶
DO NOT start the engine by shorting across the terminals of starter motor. If the
engine starts, the tractor can move suddenly.
▶
If clutch pedal does not depressed fully or PTO switch is not OFF, the engine does
not start even if turning the key switch to START position. (for mechanical type)
▶
If HST pedal is not in NEUTRAL or PTO switch is not OFF or operator does not sit
on the driver’s seat, the engine does not start even if turning the key switch to
START position. (for HST type)

DO NOT operate starter motor more than 10 seconds. If the engine does not start,
wait for 1~2 minutes before restarting.
▶
When the engine is running, DO NOT turn the key switch to START position. It may
cause the failure of starter motor.
▶
In the cold weather, carry out the warm-up. If you suddenly use the tractor in the
cold weather, the engine life shall be reduced.
(2) Start in cold weather
Push the throttle lever to the middle position of full throttle.
Start the engine after cold start aid indicator goes OFF. (If fitted)
If engine runs rough, press the throttle pedal down 2~3 times for a while. (Mechanical type)
If engine runs smoothly, carry out the warm-up for 5~10 minutes at about 1500 rpm.
Use the engine oil for winter in cold weather. Refer to the section,
Lubricants and Capacity
at the
end of this manual.

Use the diesel for winter when it is very cold weather. It is much easier to start engine.
(3) Engine stop
Pull the throttle lever backward to reduce the engine speed and turn the key switch to OFF position.
The engine shall be stopped.

When storing the tractor in the cold weather, the battery must be removed and
stored in a cool and dry place where it is warm and is isolated from the children.
▶
Allowing engine to idle for a long time will waste fuel and cause a build up of carbon.
Caution
▶
When stopping engine after heavy work, run the engine for 1~2 minutes at low
speed. If you stop the engine suddenly, the engine life could be reduced.
