Maintenance and Troubleshooting
I don’t have enough adjustment via the hexagonal tapped nylon spacer:
If using a 12mm spacer, replace with a 25mm one.
If you require further adjustment, bend the arm on the microswitch to make the
unit stop closer to where you want it to.
If still not enough, re-attach the skyhook arms using the longer spacers at the
front, the shorter ones at the back.
The Face panel is not square/centred in the trim:
Loosen the 6 screws (but don’t undo!), and you will be able to adjust the position
of the face panel slightly (by about 2mm)– since the holes the screws go through
are a 2mm larger than the screws.
The unit has stopped working and won’t turn over:
Replace batteries in the remote (if using the remote).
Try the wall switch (hopefully you have installed a wall switch, as an override,
nearby to a ceiling access point).
Make sure all the terminals are secure, and the cables are free and undamaged.
If it still doesn’t work, Contact Herma for advice.
The projector cables get jammed in the pivot frame as it rotates:
Check that the cutout for the projector cable is on the right side – NOT THE
MOTOR SIDE.
The unit may be turning the wrong way – if this is so, it will damage the
microswitches as it turns. Contact Herma for advice.
Unit moves only when the button is held down:
This means the unit has detected an out-of-range signal from the potentiometer,
and has entered “Calibration Mode”. Contact Herma for advice.
