Power/lights on and off
To turn on the unit, press
PWR
. To turn on the backlight, press
PWR
again. Pressing
PWR
once again will turn off the backlight. (Press
EXIT
to clear any message or alarm displays.)
Turn off the unit by pressing and holding the
PWR
key for 3 seconds.
Main Menu
Advanced Mode has a single Main Menu that contains function and
setup option commands. The instructions in this section will deal only
with functions, the basic commands that make the iFINDER do some-
thing. The iFINDER will work fine for these instructions right out of
the box with the factory default settings. But, if you want to learn
about the various options, see
Sec. 5, System Setup and GPS Setup Op-
tions .
1. To get to the main menu from any page, press
MENU

. To clear
the menu screen and return to the page display, press
EXIT
.
Main Menu, Advanced Mode.
Main Menu commands and functions:
Screen : changes the contrast or brightness of the display screen and
backlight delay.
Sounds : enables or disables the sounds for key strokes and alarms and
sets the alarm style.
Transparency : gives you the option to adjust the transparency of dia-
log boxes and menus.
Alarms : changes alarm thresholds and allows users to turn on or off
GPS alarms.
Route Planning : allows you to plan, view or navigate routes.
My Trails command: used to show, create, edit or delete trails.
