recommended mounting method for
an aluminum bracket is to drill
through the bracket, deburr the hole
and knot on the back side.

If drilling
through is not an option, tie the
lanyard short and tight against the
mounting point.

Avoid loose
knots that can get fouled and may pull
asymmetrically when the current
changes direction.
