Appendix 1

The procedure for upgrading the PFXi firmware

Connect the PFX

to the source computer (laptop of PC) via USB.

Switch on the PFX

whilst holding down the ‘F1’ on the instrument. A dialog will appear on the

LCD screen with the text ‘Enter Function No’

Enter ‘8192’ and press enter



n the instrument keypad. The ‘Firmware Upgrade’ screen

will appear with the message ‘Waiting For Host….”

Start the PFX

Flash loader software on the PC :

The green status bar indicates that the software is successfully communication with the
instrument.
