4 Loosen the two screws that hold the heat shield on the Electronic Controls Assembly and lift the front
of the heatshield until you can disengage the rear leg of the heat shield from the back of the
Electronic Controls Assembly . Slide the grommet, holding the pilot wires,out of the rear leg on the
heat shield. Remove the heat shield and set it aside for reinstallation.
5 Disconnect the red and black wires that attach to the battery holder by separating the white Molex
connector as shown below. Once the wires are disconnected, remove and discard the battery holder
which is held in place with hook and loop tape.
6 Remove the receiver from the mounting bracket. Use the two screws in the following step. Discard
the mounting bracket.
