15. CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
• DO NOT immerse the device!
• Cleaning: use only a damp cloth. Pay attention to the display
• Disinfection: use a cleanser, avoiding the liquid seep into the device
NOTE:
Never use acids, alkalis or solvents such as acetone
• Avoid dropping, slamming, or throwing the unit
• Avoid extreme temperatures. Do not use outdoors
• Do not use petrol, thinners or similar solvents
• Remove batteries when not in operation for an extended period of time
• Do not disassemble product
• It is recommended the performance should be checked every 2 years
16. CONDITIONS OF DISPOSAL
General conditions of disposal
In case of disposal don’t use the inserting container for municipal waste. We recommend to dispose
the sphygmomanometer in the appropriate disposal areas for recycling.
TREATMENT OF BATTERIES (Directive 2002/96/EC):
At the end of its life, the product must not be disposed of along with other domestic waste. The
users must dispose of this equipment by bringing it to a specific recycling point for electric
and electronic equipment or at retailers that provide this service. By ensuring these batteries are
disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potentially negative consequences for the environment
and human health which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of the battery. To
remark the need to dispose of electrical equipment separately, the products is marked with crossed
mobile waste bin.
DISPOSAL OF WASTE BATTERIES - Directive 2006/66/EC):
This symbol on the battery or on the packaging indicates that the battery provided with this
product shall not be treated as household waste. By ensuring these batteries are disposed of
correctly, you will help prevent potentially negative consequences for the environment and human
health which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of the battery The recycling
of the materials will help to conserve natural resources. At the end of their life hand the batteries over
to the applicable collection points for the recycling of waste batteries. For more detailed information
about recycling of this product or battery, please contact your local Civic Office, your household
waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.
17. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM 1
Blood pressure results are not reliable
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Cuff is too tight or not properly positioned on the arm
2. Body or device movements during measurement
SOLUTION
1. Firmly reposition cuff as illustrated in point 5, paragraph Pressure Measurement
2. Stand still and relaxed during measurement, avoiding speaking
