Troubleshooting Electrical Components:
Fuse:
Find the fuse under frame cover. Remove cap, remove fuse and visually inspect.
20A fuse
Replace fuse if blown with only 20A. If fuse keeps blowing a short circuit is present.
On/Off switch:
With the power off, check for continuity across brown and yellow wires. Test this on throttle
plug under the frame cover. You can pop out the switch on the throttle assembly to access the
wires behind the switch (see schematics).
Throttle Signal:
The throttle is operated via a Hall Effect Sensor. The +5 v (red throttle wire) su5v to the
throttle. As the throttle twists a variable voltage (0v-5v) will be transmitted to the motor
controller unit via the White throttle wire:
%0 throttle = 0v
%100 throttle = 5v
Use multi meter set on DC voltage across the throttle ground cable (black wire) with and
throttle signal white wire, twist the throttle to check voltage gradually increases as the throttle
increases. Also check red for +5v out (see schematics).
Speed adjuster:
Bypass test:
Connect white wires together from throttle plug to motor controller unit. This will simulate full
speed 0 ohms resistance. Note speed will always be in max setting this way.
Resistance test:
Disconnect both white wires and test using a multi meter
Max speed = 0 Ohms resistance
Min speed = 20 Ohms resistance
