1.1 GeneRAL sAFetY

attempt to do so unless you have the
necessary knowledge and experience.
Ensure that anyone attempting to start
and operate your diesel engine has
been properly trained and instructed
in the correct procedures.

• Be prepared with suitable equipment
and knowledge in case a fi re starts.

you are working and when you leave

mounted.

supply of cooling and combustion air
available.
• Keep the engine and surrounding
area clean.
• Some accessories may require
guards which must be supplied and
fi tted by the purchaser. Keep all safety
guards in position.
• Do not make any unauthorised
modifi cations as these may affect the
safe operation of the engine and put
the operator at risk.
