Replacing the lamps (continued)
Offset Vista Dome Car
There is no illumination on the top floor.
1. Loosen the four vestibule screws and pull the vestibules away from the car body. Refer to
Figure 19 on page 43 for the locations of these parts.
2. Unplug the wire connector mounted to the light panel. As illustrated in Figure 12 on
page 36, be sure to pull on the white connector housing, not the wires.
3. Remove the four floor screws that run along the center of the frame near each truck. These
screws are also illustrated in Figure 19 on page 43.
4. Lift the trucks and metal frame from the body. Take care not to pull on the wires that are
attached to the frame.
5. Slide the interior out through the front end until you can access the lamp.
6. Gently pull the expired lamp straight out of the socket, then replace it with Lionel part
no. 630-9134-300. Make sure that the replacement lamp is positioned flat against the light
panel. Refer to Figure 14 on page 36
7. Reassemble the car by following these steps in reverse order.
When you slide the lower interior back into the car, be sure that the seats face in the
same direction as before.
