Prime the fuel system by depressing the Primer Bulb multiple times to ensure
fuel system is filled and there is no air in the fuel system. The Primer Bulb should
be pressed continuously until it becomes hard to press before attempting to
start the generator.
6.
For Cold Engine Starts: Place the Choke Lever in the “START” position.
For Warm Engine Starts: Place the Choke Lever halfway between the “START”
position and the “RUN” position.
NOTE: Some models may be equipped with a “Knob Style Push/Pull Choke.” For
these models, “PULL” the choke knob to place in the “START” position and
“PUSH” the choke knob to place in the “RUN” position.
NOTE: All units equipped with Remote Start, are also equipped with an
“Automatic Choke.” For these units, ignore manual choke instructions.
PULL START (RECOIL) ONLY MODELS:
Refer to Controls and Features section.

Place the ignition switch in the “ON” (l) position using the provided key. For Pull
Start Only models, place the rocker switch in the “ON” position.

Grasp starter handle and pull slowly until resistance is felt. Then pull the cord
rapidly with a full arm stroke. Allow the rope to return slowly. Do NOT allow the
rope to snap back against housing.

After then engine has run for 10 seconds, place the choke lever/knob in the
“RUN” position. Ignore for units equipped with Remote Start
ELECTRIC/PULL (RECOIL) START MODELS:

Using provided key, turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position. Rotate the key
one more position to the “START” position in order to engage the starting motor.
Hold key switch in the “START” position until engine starts, for NO MORE than 10
engine rotations. If the engine does NOT start, repeat procedures beginning
with Step One (1).

After then engine has run for 10 seconds, place the choke lever/knob in the
“RUN” position. Ignore for units equipped with Remote Start.
