5.2 Use of the Battery Pack
Instructions for optimum use of the battery pack
Note: The battery pack is supplied partially charged. To guarantee the full capacity of the battery
pack, fully charge the battery pack using the charger before first use.

The Li-ion battery pack is protected against deep discharge. If the battery pack is empty,
the power tool is switched off by a safety circuit.
▪
Do not press the on / off switch on the power tool again after the automatic switch-off.
The battery pack can then be damaged.

The battery pack is equipped with an NTC temperature monitor, which means charging is only
possible between 4 ° C and 45 ° C. This makes the battery pack last longer.

Only store the battery pack at temperatures between 0 ° C and 50 ° C. For example, do not leave
the Battery Pack in the car during the summer.

A considerably shorter operating time after full charging indicates that the battery pack is empty
and needs to be replaced.
▪
Observe the instructions regarding the disposal of battery packs.
Maintenance and cleaning
On occasion, clean the ventilation openings of the battery pack with a soft, clean and dry brush.
If the battery pack no longer works contact a repair service authorized for Lievers power tools.
Transport
The Li-ion battery packs received fall under the Transport of Dangerous Substances Act (WVGS). The
batterypacks can be transported by the user on the street without additional measures.

When shipping by third parties (eg: by air mail or parcel service), the special requirements for
packaging and labeling must be taken into account.

An expert in dangerous transport must be consulted here when preparing the package to be sent.

Only send battery packs with undamaged housing. Tape open contacts and package the battery
pack so that it cannot move in the package. Also observe any stricter national regulations.
