Key Phone Features

Nomad IP User Guide

Month 2006

Push-To-Talk Groups

In 

TeleniumIP

 systems, each 

Nomad IP

 station can be 

assigned to receive Push-To-Talk (PTT) announcements 
from other members of the PTT group.

- A station can be assigned to one or more groups, or 

not assigned to any group.

- PTT groups are defined in the 

TeleniumIP

 system’s 

administrative programming.

NOTE

: PTT will not work if phone is remote to MIFM(E).

Invoking a PTT

1. Press and hold the [PTT] button while making an 

announcement.

2. Release the [PTT] button when the announcement is 

complete.

Receiving a PTT

The idle screen of the 

Nomad IP

 changes to display the 

PTT group number, and the announcement is emitted 
from the speaker.
