6)Pipe bending
Annealedcopper pipewith smalldiameter (ø 6.35or ø9.52)can beeasily bentmanually .In
thiscase, securelarge R(radius)for thebend sectionand graduallybend pipe.If annealed
copper pipe is large in diameter (ø12.7, ø 15.88 or ø19.05), bend pipe with bender. Use bender
appropriatefor thepipe diameter.

Brazing
Inrefrigerant piping,bending (inparticular ,acute bending)must beminimized toreduce
pipingresistance. Bendingis, however, necessaryin someplaces byvirtue ofthe installation
position of devices or of the building structure, piping distance or finishing appearance.

Whenconnecting piping,be sureto keeppiping dry(keeppiping awayfrom water),clean
(keeppiping awayfrom dust)and airtight(avoid refrigerantleakage).
Whenconnecting pipingon rainydays ormaking athrough-hole inwall, takedue careto
preventwater orplaster fromentering piping.
