Visually inspect rotors for rust.
NOTE:
For the best rotor rust prevention, retain wheel film on
vehicle until just prior to customer delivery. If leakage is
found, see
Repair Manual
.
CHASSIS INSPECTION FOR LEAKAGE OR
DAMAGE
a )Visually and by hand check the following components
for proper installation, clamping, connection and
damage:
• Brake lines, hoses and protectors
• Fuel lines, hoses and protectors
• Steering linkage and dust boots
• Drive shaft boots
• Parking brake cable
b )Visually check the following components for fluid
leakage:
• Engine
• Transmission/Hybrid transaxle
• Brake lines
• Fuel lines
c )Visually check the entire underside of the body for
proper rust-resistant coating.
CHECK AND TIGHTEN ALL CHASSIS
BOLTS OF COMPONENTS THAT ARE
REPLACED DUE TO REPAIRS
Check that all chassis bolts and nuts and suspension
components are tight. See the
Repair Manual
for proper bolt
torque specification.
a) Front and rear suspensions
b) Steering linkages
c) Front/rear cross members
d) Front/Rear brakes
e) Drive shaft(s)
f) Axle shaft(s)
