Chapter 4: Troubleshooting

Printer service

information

Reset user defaults

When formatting problems occur or unexpected 

characters print, try resetting the printer default 

settings to your user defaults. Press and hold the 

operator panel button until all indicator lights are on.

Once the default settings are reset, the Ready light 

comes on.

If your printer lights look like this:

Then your printer:

has a service error and printing stops immediately.

• Turn the printer off and back on. If the lights are still blinking, 

contact your point of purchase, or call the Lexmark service 
number listed on your printer registration card.
