Interconnecting the FSW-1607/2407TFX
To increase the connectivity of your network, you can connect two
Smart Switches together. Refer to the following procedure:
1. Insert the RJ-45 plug into the RJ-45 socket of port 1 (the
uplink port) on the Smart Switch.
2. Insert the RJ-45 plug on the other end of the cable into the
one of the ports on the other Smart Switch.
3. Set the MDI switch accordingly.
The MDI switch setting will depend on the cable used.

If the Smart Switch was powered up when you made the connec-
tion, the LINK/ACT LEDs of both switches should be on.
If the LEDs do not light, refer to
POST diagnostics
on page 26 of
Appendix A.
