INSPECTION AND UNPACKING
Inspect your LEV-CO unit for shipping damage immediately upon receipt. Damaged carton(s), broken crate(s),
etc. are indications that the unit may have been damaged in shipment. It is also possible shipping damage may be
concealed and not noticed until the unit is installed and in operation. If any damage is found, notify your delivery
carrier at once and enter a claim. Claims must be filed within 15 consecutive days of receipt of shipment. FREIGHT
DAMAGE CLAIMS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PURCHASER, NOT LEV-CO.
PREPARATION AND INSTALLATION
After initial inspection for shipping damage, check the filter and motor/blower compartments for any
packing materials and remove.
The following sections discuss both physical installation and electrical
connections.
OPTIONAL PRESSURE GAUGE INSTALLATION
To mount an optional PG-3 minihelic pressure gauge (Figure 4) onto an Air Pod air cleaner, please refer to the steps
and illustrations below. The gauge can either be mounted flush, which requires drilling a 2 5/8” hole, or onto a panel
mounting bracket (see Figure 5) which is then mounted to the unit. Directions are provided for both. Please refer to
the Dwyer bulletin provided with the gauge for instructions on securing the gauge, whether flush mounted or bracket
mounted.
1.
Shown below, in Figure 6, are the suggested gauge locations for each Pod configuration, (flush mount
shown).
Note: On the Air Pod II & III, the gauge is low in the cabinet to keep the tubing from interfering with the
blower wheel.
2.
Disconnect power to the unit.
