The new Air Pod ambient air cleaner provides manufacturing, processing, vocational, and warehousing

facilities with a dust collection system more efficient than conventional ceiling hung air cleaners and is offered in
three distinct sizes.

How does this work?

Most dusts are heavier than air and thus, are effective by gravity. Most dusts that do

suspend in air do so from turbulence in the work area, i.e. fans, blowers, door openings, or process tools such as
grinders. Ceiling hung units rely on the dirt being stirred until it reaches an upper level plateau generated by the
normal air stream of the plant and/or the suspended air cleaners. (Suspended air cleaners work best on very light
materials such as smoke.)

The Air Pod uses the cooler, heavier air at floor level to a mechanical advantage in capturing the dust. The cooler

floor air is sucked in on four sides, cleaned and discharged vertically into the work area. This cooler, cleaned air
then disperses in a random airflow pattern, which settles or causes an acceleration of the downward velocity of the
suspended particles as the cool air drives the dust/dirt particles lower to be picked back up by the Air Pod. By
having the units at the worker level, the dust will be collected faster, providing a better work environment for your
worker’s health and well-being.

The heart of the Air Pod is its design and use of the high dirt holding capacity of the 6” deep MERV 11 filters

with 98% contaminant arrestance of 1.0 – 3.0 micron at 95% efficiency.

The Air Pod  I & II A come with a 110/1/60 direct drive forward curve blower assembly and the Air Pod II and

Air Pod III come standard with a 3 HP TEFC motor and backward-inclined, Class II, non-sparking blower in an
acoustic lined blower compartment.

Options for the Air Pod include a variety of filter options such as: MERV 14 or MERV 17 washable

synthetic filters, or AD modules in place of the standard filters, or polyester pre-filters

(highly recommended for

buffing)

, and pressure gauge.

APPLICATIONS

The unique filter design allows for the collection of air born contaminates with low face velocity filters while

maintaining a high dirt loading capacity.

Applications include:

Buffing – Grinding – Sanding - Metal – Wood – Composites - Solid surface preparation

Manufacturing – Processing – Warehousing – Vocational
