FILTER SERVICE
Filter service is required when a reduction of airflow (suction) is observed. The optional
pressure gauge (Figure 18) is used to judge the amount of particulate collected on the filter.
In most applications, a reading of 2.0” is typical of when the filter(s) should be replaced.
FILTER REPLACEMENT
To replace the filters, follow the instructions listed below.
1.
Turn unit
OFF
and let motor/blower come to a complete stop.
Lock out power source.
2.
Grasp the filter frame and carefully pull the filter out of the unit, see Figure 19
.
Repeat for all remaining filters.
ALWAYS WEAR PERSONAL BREATHING PROTECTION DURING FILTER REMOVAL AS DUST
MAY BE EXPELLED.
3.
Dispose of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
4.
Install new filters, making sure the pleats run in the vertical direction as shown in Figure 19 and that the air flow
arrows are as shown in Figure 20.
5.
On units with optional filter arrangements as shown in Table 1, remember the sequence in which the new filters will
be replaced. On the pre-filter or after-filters that have the plastic frame, the polyester and/or carbon pads are simply
pulled from the frame (see Figure 23) and the
new pads tucked securely back into the frames .
6.
Turn unit ON.
