You can connect multiple ThinkSystem Analog 1x8 KVM, 1754-A1T (SM27A17643), KVM
switches to organize a two-tier system, expanding the number of available channels. The
number of connected servers can be expanded up to 64.
Overview
To organize a "two-tier" system, just connect one or multiple ThinkSystem Analog 1x8 KVM,
1754-A1T (SM27A17643), switches to a ThinkSystem Analog 1x8 KVM, 1754-A1T
(SM27A17643), switch.
All SM27A17643 switches connected to the same ThinkSystem Analog 1x8 KVM, 1754-A1T
(SM27A17643), switch are the SECOND-TIER devices, and the FIRST-TIER ThinkSystem Analog
1x8 KVM, 1754-A1T (SM27A17643), switch that connects these second-tier devices is the "base
switch".
Servers can be connected to any available channel ports in the system, including channel ports
on the base switch.
