
2. Ensure that the cables are routed correctly before reinstalling the slide cover. Keep cables clear of the
hinges and sides of the computer chassis to avoid interference with reinstalling the slide cover.
3. Align the sides of the slide cover with the corresponding rail guides on the computer. Then, slide
the cover as shown until it snaps into position.

4. Place the computer in an upright position.
5. If a locking device is available, use it to lock the computer. See “Locking your computer” on page 25.
6. Reconnect the external cables and power cords to the corresponding connectors on the computer.

7. Update your configuration. See “Using the Setup Utility program” on page 29.
8. If a newly installed hardware component does not work normally, update the device driver. See
“Keeping your computer current” on page 22.
