5. From the CMM, enter ifconfig to display the current IP address. See Figure 16 .

6. To configure a static IP address, from the CMM, enter ifconfig
–
c static <IP Address>

s <subnet mask>

g <Gateway IP Address> .
ifconfig -c static -i 10.20.21.208 -s 255.255.240.0 -g 10.20.16.1
If you connected the serial console to the mini-USB port (as described in Step 2), from the
switch serial console, you can see the newly configured IP address on the switch.
7. From the CMM, enter ifconfig to confirm that the new IP address has been applied. See
Figure 17 .

8. Use SSH to open a session to the switch using the newly configured IP address. Log in to the
switch using the following default user name and password settings:
User ID: admin
Password: password
NOTE
The passwords that are used to access the switch are case-sensitive. To increase system security,
change the password after you log in for the first time. For more information, see the
