Green and amber LEDs on the front of each drive carrier module indicate disk drive status; shown in Figure 
35 “Dummy Drive Carrier Module ” on page 29. The SEP (Storage Enclosure Processor) controls these LEDs. 
Refer to “Drive Carrier Module LEDs” on page 54 about these LEDs’ states.

Dummy Drive Carrier Modules

Dummy drive carrier modules are provided and must be put in all empty drive bays to create a balanced 
airflow.
