This section provides instructions on how to replace the internal speaker.
To replace the internal speaker, do the following:
1.
Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the
computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and
disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.
2.
Open the computer cover. See “Opening the computer cover” on page 14.
3.
Locate the internal speaker. See “Locating components” on page 10.
4.
Disconnect the internal speaker cable from the system board. See “Locating
parts on the system board” on page 11.
5.
Press the internal speaker lock latch

, slide the internal speaker downwards
to remove it from the chassis.
6.
Position the new internal speaker into the metal clips

and push the internal
speaker upwards until it is secured by the lock latch

.
7.
Connect the new internal speaker cable to the system board. See “Locating
parts on the system board” on page 11.
