7 MAINTENANCE
Correct machine servicing is necessary with a view to
reliable and safe working.
For maintenance of the LELYMATIC shearpin automat
please be referred to the separate manual.
7.1
Maintenance after operations
- Clean the machine thoroughly.
- Grease the machine with a rust preventive.
- Check the tightness of the tines.
Correct torque: 600 Nm (60kgm).
- Clean the gearbox breathers to eliminate over-pressure.
7.2
Lubrication
- Lubricate the PTO shaft (fig. 9) according to the instruc-
tions indicated in the corresponding Operator’s Manual.
- When operations are completed in wintertime, grease the
protection tubes of the PTO shafts in order to avoid
blockage through freezing.
- Grease the 4 pivot points of the side frames and the 2pivot
pins of the ram every 40 working hours.
- Grease or lubricate all remaining pivot points every 40
working hours.
