LAYING DOWN 1 OR 2 SWATHS (Vario)
The HIBISCUS 1525 Vario rake offers the option to lay down one
swath at a large raking width, or 2 swaths at a reduced raking width.
To facilitate these options, an adjustment ram was built into the
machine’s steering system so that the overlap between the rotors can
be adjusted.
Standard configuration of the system is such that the overlap
between the rotors can be increased and, hence, the working width
reduced. The adjustment ram is then situated on the RH side from
the centre (fig. A-1).
Adapt the steering system as follows to be able to lay down two
swaths:
- Disconnect the ram from the short steering rods by dismounting
the bolt and bushings A.
- Disconnect the ram from the steering plate by dismounting the pin
B.
- Disconnect the steering plate from the long steering rod by
dismounting the pin C.
- Disconnect the steering plate from the main frame by
dismounting the pin D.
- Turn the steering plate upside down.
- Connect the steering plate to the main frame by mounting the pin
D. Secure it by fitting the bolt M12x30.
- Connect the steering plate to the long steering rod by mounting
the pin C.
- Connect the ram to the steering plate by mounting the pin B. Lock
the pin by means of the roll pins Ø6x55.
- Connect the ram to the short steering rods by means of the bolt
and bushings A.
- Grease the greasing points of the steering system.
The adjustment ram is now situated on the LH side from the centre.
Upon extending of the ram, the transport wheels are adjusted in such
a way that the machine is steered to the left. This increases the
overlap between the rotors to such an extent that both rotors form a
swath.
