1 INTRODUCTION
The LELY HIBISCUS 1525 (fig. 1) is a pull type, twin rotor cam
rake for side delivery. The machine has 2 rotors with 13 tine arms,
each equipped with 4 double tines.
The tines give a clean sweep and move the grass to left hand side in
an airy swath.
The rotors of the HIBISCUS 1525 rake are fitted to the carriage by
means of a 3-D system (fig. 2), allowing them to follow ground
contours independently of the carriage.
The rotors of the HIBISCUS 1525 rake have a modular construction
so that a repair, if any, to a tine arm shaft can be carried out quickly
and at low costs.
The wheel assembly with 4 wheels underneath the rotor ensures an
excellent raking operation of this rake also when working in
undulating fields.
As standard, the machine is fitted with steered transport wheels
allowing it to follow the tractor 'true to track'.
The following additional features of the HIBISCUS 1525 Vario rake
make it ideal for a wide range of applications:
The tine arms of the rotors are removable. In combination with the
storage rack for removed tine arms and the foldable safety frame
around the rotors, the machine’s height can be reduced to transport
height for transport or storage purposes.
The steering system of the HIBISCUS 1525 Vario rake is fitted with
a control ram to increase the overlap between the rotors (fig. 3).
This makes it possible to operate the machine at a reduced width in
case of voluminous crops.
By reversing the steering plate and the control ram, there is an option
of laying down one large swath or two smaller swaths with the
HIBISCUS 1525 Vario rake. The transport wheel assembly can be
adjusted hydraulically from the tractor seat to remove the overlap
between the two rotors of the machine.
