Cam track adjustment
Rising and descending of the tines that are fitted on the tine arms is
ensured by the cam track. By adjusting this system, rise and descent
moments can be changed.
Correct adjustment depends upon crop/terrain conditions and
forward speed. The cam track can be changed by placing the
adjustment strip (fig. 9) in one of the holes.
5 OPERATING THE HIBISCUS
®
• Make sure that nobody is near the machine at the moment
the PTO is engaged.
• Do not allow anyone to come within a 25 m radius from the
machine during work.
• Stop the tractor engine before leaving the tractor cab.

General directions
To enable turning on headlands, the rotors can be lifted (approx.
20°).
To achieve this: actuate the single-action valve of the tractor.
- Lift the rotors up to the headland position.
- Engage the PTO shaft at the lowest possible engine r.p.m..
- Increase the motor speed.
- Drive forward.
Never drive the machine through the crop while the rotors are on
the ground without rotating. This may cause damage to the tines
and tine arms.
- Lower the machine into the crop.
- Ensure the floating postition of the hydraulic valve; the rams have
to telescope smoothly throughout the operation.
The machine can be used for making swaths (fig. 10) and for moving
windrows across (fig. 11).
If the machine is equipped with an electrically controlled hydraulic
system, there is a possibility of temporarily raking with one rotor on
the ground. To achieve this, operate as follows:
- Lift the rotors up to the headland position.
- - Put the rotary switch of the control box at the position of the
rotor that needs to remain in the headland position.
- Lower the single rotor into the crop.
- Ensure the floating postition of the hydraulic valve; the ram has
to telescope smoothly throughout the operation.
