Starting measurements
If the device is in
Idle
-mode and does not perform measurements, it can be re-started with the
Measurement-
command.

As a confirmation, the device responds with a
Measurement
-packet without any data.
The device then starts to initialize the measurement procedure and continuously sends measurement
packets with the measured gas concentrations and other measured values, depending on the product
type. These packets also contain M as a measurement response.
3.6
Status, error and failure response
Additionally the device also can send special packets with regard to errors (E) or failures (F). During the
measurement cycles it can transmit separate error or failure packets. Both do not contain any further data.

The
Failure
-packet contains error codes that require manufacturer-assisted maintenance of the device.
While working with the Axetris Customer Frontend, the device sends additional status information
packets (
{D…}
). The D-packets are for internal use only and can only be monitored while working with
the Axetris Customer Frontend (they can be ignored by the customer in standard device operation).
When quitting the Axetris Customer Frontend to work with the LGD module Communication Protocol,
the device stops sending D-packets.
