3. Place the instrument on the tribrach (

) and secure it with the tribrach’s locking
knob.
4. Turn on the instrument by pressing the ON/OFF button (

and activate the laser plummet (

).
5. Move the tripod legs (

) and use the tribrach footscrews (

) to centre the
plummet (

) over the ground point.
6. Adjust the tripod legs (

) to level the circular level (

).
7. By using the electronic level (

Level & Laser Plummet

) turn the
tribrach footscrews (
h
) to precisely level the instrument.
8. Centre the instrument precisely over the ground point (
i
) by shifting the tribrach
on the tripod plate.
9. Repeat steps 7. and 8. until the required accuracy is achieved.
