Brake Installation
1.
See Fig. 1.
Install single brake line (line with
straight tab) to residual valve using the follow-
ing hardware. Torque banjo bolt to
16 ft-lbs.
•
(1) Residual Valve– S002037
•
(1) M10 Banjo Bolt– CB6001
•
(2) Copper Banjo Washers– GC6002
3. Remove rear brake reservoir cap.
4. Bleed rear brake system at rear calipers with
brake bleeder or hand operated vacuum pump.
5. Bleed front brake system with
rear
pedal
in the
following order. Refer to Honda service manual
for further information.

. RH front, lower bleeder

. LH front, anti-dive valve
6. Repeat bleeding on front and rear until all air is
eliminated from brake system. Verify rear
brake pedal and front brake lever are firm and
do not bottom out.
7. Fill fluid reservoir and install cap.
NOTE: New brake pads and rotors will have a
break-in period before optimum brake opera-
tion is achieved.
8. Reinstall front fender and wheel covers.
