NOTE
After a pile has been finished and before the last casing (starter casing) is lifted
out of the machine, open the clamping collar, with the casing attached to the
drilling rig or the crane, place wooden blocks between the clamping collar and
the base frame and press the clamping collar into the blocks by retracting the
lifting cylinders!
This procedure ensures a perfect alignment of the clamping collar and the base
frame!
8.4 BORING PROCEDURE
8.4.1
Drive the bottom casing 2 m – 6´ 6” deep into the ground and check the vertically
permanently, as required by specification.
8.4.2
Drive bottom casing down by 2 m – 6´ 6” more and check verticality.
8.4.3
Install the 1st casing and drive it down by approx. 4 m – 13´ 1,5” more and check
verticality.
Now a total of approx. 8 m – 26´ 3” of casing has been driven down and
verticality is achieved and stabilized.
8.4.4
Pull the casing column back by approx. 400 mm – 15

” and drive it back in.
Repeat this procedure every 2 m – 6´ 6” in order to release cuttings and to reduce
the friction on the casing column and to prevent the pile from running out verticality.
