Turn off the main water supply.
Locate the lowest fixture and drain the main water line (turn on
the hot and cold water until no more water comes out).
Install the shut-off valve/flow meter assembly.
Position the shut-off valve/flow meter assembly.

CAUTION:
• Install the valve so that the controller will rest vertically or
horizontally,
NOT upside down.
• Do not solder fittings near the water meter or the Protect
by LeakSmart valve system to prevent heat from affecting
the devices.

install at least 8” downsteam of the
water main manual shut-off and
water meter.

away from the water meter.
