Audio Driver Installation
Chapter 5
5-1 Installing Audio Driver for Windows 95/98,
Windows NT 4.0
For Windows 95/98
Step 1
Press "Start" button.
Step 2
Move highlight bar to "Settings" and select "Control Panel".
Step 3
Double Click "System"
Step 4
Click "Device Manager" Tab
Step 5
There are some unknown devices in "other".
Step 6
Delete them and close "system"
Step 7
Double click "Add New Hardware"
Step 8
Click "Next"
Step 9
Click "Next"
Step 10
Click "No, I want to select the hardware from the list."
Step 11
Click "Sound,video and game controllors."
Step 12
Click "Next"
Step 13
Click "Have Disk.."
Step 14
Click "Browse.."
Step 15
Go to the path "X:\6000\Audiodrv\W95-98\drv\8338"(X:Your
CD-ROM/DVD-ROM driver)
Step 16
You will find the inf file -- cmpci031.inf
Step 17
Click "OK"
For Windows NT 4.0
Step 1
Press "Start" button.
Step 2
Move highlight bar to "Settings" and select "Control
Panel".
Step 3
Double click on "Multimedia" icon.
Step 4
Select "Devices" page.
Step 5
Press "Add..." button.
Step 6
Select item "Unlisted or Updated Driver" in "List of
Drivers" list box.
Step 7
Specify path of PCI audio NT drivers.(ex: A:\NT)
Step 8
Select item "C-Media CM8338 PCI Device" and press
"OK" button.
Step 9
Choose proper I/O or "OK" button for default setting.
Step 10
Please restart Windows NT system.
