z4 User Manual 

Working with monitor functions 

Sources supplying the z4 can be assigned to the four user 
buttons for monitoring. This allows to reach also sources not 
assigned to a channel of the z4 mini mixer and which can be 
monitored via PFL. Furthermore you set here the offset-levels of 
the two headphone-outputs as well as the level of the talkback 
source. 

The channel strips with their displays are named A, B, C and D 
from left to right to make explaining easier. 

Changing the talkback and headset level 

Generally follow the instructions below for assigning monitor 
outputs.

 Press the button “MON” 

The “MON” button shows green. 

 

You have now activated the mode for monitor assignment. The 

display looks like this: 

 

For settings of the talkback resp. headset level please 

proceed as follows:
