CHAPTER 13 - CHARGING THE BATTERIES
When the batteries are almost depleted, also indicated by the battery indicator, ITEM G FIG . 2, the washing unit
returns to the raised position, the flow of the solution is blocked, the floor squeegee is raised and after a short
delay the suction stops .
HOWEVER IT IS POSSIBLE TO MOVE THE MACHINE FORWARD/BACK TO REACH THE
CHARGING STATION.
Take the machine to an area used for charging the batteries as indicated in this instruction manual in the
paragraph relating to batteries .
Recharge the batteries when the battery indicator, ITEM G FIG . 2, reaches 25% compared to the maximum level .
ONLY FILL THE BATTERIES WITH DISTILLED WATER WHEN THE CHARGING CYCLE IS
COMPLETED. OPERATE IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA
During a maintenance operation on the batteries:
Remove any jewellery
Do not smoke
Wear goggles, rubber gloves, and a rubber apron .
Work in a well-ventilated area .
Avoid a situation whereby the tools come into contact with more than one battery clamp at the same time .
To avoid sparks, ALWAYS disconnect the negative cable when replacing the batteries .
When installing the batteries, always connect the negative cable last .
For correct use of the battery charger, follow the instructions in the manufacturer's manual .
ASSISTANCE NOTE: be sure to have inserted the battery charger into the connector attached to the batteries
themselves .
To avoid damaging the surfaces to be treated, always wipe away any water and acid
that may be on the top of the batteries after charging.
The stabilised lead acid batteries will only guarantee you superior performance and a
longer life IF RECHARGED PROPERLY! Inadequate or excessive charging will reduce
battery life and performance.
