3. To remove the lid, pull it off the lid plunger. When reinstalling, ensure that the
lid is rectangular and not square, and insert it accordingly.
4. Loosen the surrounding rubber seal on the edge of the lid/container.
10.6 Pressure test for Lava
If the vacuum sealer fails to build enough pressure during the vacuuming pro-
cess, a pressure test can help determine which replacement part is needed. The
test can be conducted as follows:
1. Open the device’s lid.
2. Set the selector switch for bags/containers (Fig. 2, No. 2) to
.
• Does the vacuum pump start? If not, please contact customer service.
3. If yes, hold the right suction tube within the foam rubber seal with your finger.
• Do all the lamps on the LED display light up? Wwhen the green lamps
light up, the full vacuum is reached. Is an increase in pressure detected
at the finger?
If the green lights on the LED display do not light up, please remove the lid of the
liquid separator and repeat the pressure test using the rear of the two exposed
tubes.
If insufficient vacuum pressure is also detected here, the vacuum sealer should
be sent in for repair.
