What sort of water?
Refilling
When the buzzer goes off or when the red water-end indicator light comes on, the tank must be
refilled. The water tank can be filled at any time without the steam generator having to cool down
beforehand.
WARNING
Always fill the water tank before starting to iron and make sure that no foreign body is inserted.
Heating the tank when it is empty invalidates the guarantee on your steam station.
Unplugged appliance
•
Place the generator on a flat,
stable surface, eg. the gene-
rator stand of an ironing
board.
•
Do not place the generator
on a wooden or soft surface
(eg. chair, wooden furniture,
table).
•
Fit the water tank into its casing by pressing
and turning it a quarter of a turn.
Make sure that the water tank is dry on the
outside.
•
Fill the water tank and make sure that you do
not wet the outer surface. Otherwise, wipe it
before putting it back in its casing.
Getting started
•
Place the iron on the stand for iron.
•
Insert the plug in the wall socket.
To avoid electric shock make sure that you push the mains plug into a grounded wall socket.
•
Check that the indicator light of the iron is also on before ironing.
•
Turn on the 2 switches and wait for the green steam light indicator to come on (around 3 minutes)
before starting to iron.
Note:
when the appliance is turned on, half the contents of the water tank will be automatically pumped
towards the generator. The noise of the pump that you hear is normal.
Make sure that the casing of the water tank is kept dry and clean.
